WHAT IS HSE?
As a participant at the HSE2020 summit and as a certified safety personnel, I know it is important to spread the safety message to the people particularly to those of us that don't take safety precautions important due to reasons I have not come to understand
As the world progresses in all aspect of the environment,
human activities has burdened our environment with the quest for meeting the
demands of the growing human population and the advancement in technological know-how as well as
the need to live in a symbiotic environment, the need for knowledge in HSE
cannot be overemphasized.
HSE as you might have heard, is generally about our daily activities either at home or in our places of work, even at the relaxation spots and how we respond to the consequences of our activities.
In essence, HSE involves developing a positive health and safety culture to reduce harm and financial costs of accidents or ill health in a bid to protect the environment as a whole.
simply put, HSE is the care of our Health by taking the necessary precautions/safety measures in a bid to make our Environment a safe place for all.
OBJECTIVE OF HSE
To equip every individual with the skills to handle health,
safety and environmental issues particularly during emergency. I.e. to raise
individuals that will be proactive in managing HSE risks and apply first aid.
